Kentucky Beef Council and Harrodsburg Beef Festival present
the First Annual
“Kentucky Cattle Crawl”

Lexington, Ky. . .The Kentucky Beef Council and the Harrodsburg Beef Festival will hold the first annual Kentucky Cattle Crawl in Harrodsburg on Tuesday, June 2, 2009.  The Kentucky Cattle Crawlwill feature four local restaurants during a progressive dinner from 5 to 11 p.m.  The goal is to support and promote local restaurants while showcasing beef.

Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill –Entrée
Grilled Filet of Kentucky Beef over a grilled summer salad with Kenny’s Kentucky Blue Cheese compound butter- Summer Salad consist of grilled potato slices, grilled corn and grilled onions, tossed with cherry tomatoes and arugula.

 

Cloud’s Country Cooking and Family Restaurant –Dessert
Half and Half Trifle- A half strawberry shortcake mixture of angel food cake, vanilla pudding, strawberries and half chocolate brownie mix with brownies, chocolate pudding and heath bar. All topped with cool whip.


Beaumont Inn– Appetizer
Beef Appetizer Trio-Consisting of Beef Tenderloin Canapé topped with creamy Horseradish Sauce, Slow-Roasted Pot Roast Tart, and Bourbon Marinated Beef Tip & Mushroom Brochette


Alamo Tex MexSalad
Grilled Steak Salad-Grilled steak atop lettuce, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, banana peppers, tomatoes, black and green olives, and sprinkled with three cheeses.



The Kentucky Cattle Crawl is limited to 55 people who will take a coach bus from the Mercer County Extension Office to the four featured restaurants.  The price is $50 and includes Kentucky Cattle Crawl commemorative gifts.  It is open to the public and tickets can be purchased by calling LeMayne Ellis 859-734-5546.
