June 6-7, 2014

Who grills the best steak? Who grills the best burger? These and other titles will be on the line at the 9th Annual Kentucky's Fort Harrod Beef Festival; held June 6-7, 2014, at the Mercer County Fairgrounds in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. The festival weekend is chocked full of activities for all age groups. The festival kicks off on Tuesday night with the Cattle Crawl, a progressive dinner featuring beef cuisine from local restaurants. Thursday night will feature Bourbon Tasting, sponsored by Jim Beam Distilleries, at Kentucky Fudge Company. Friday night, the festival really gets going as teams fire up those grills to serve FREE burger and sauce samples; while the crowd enjoys music, KY Proud wine and cheese samples and shop at the I Love Cows Dustin Worthington Silent Auction. For those looking to burn calories so they can enjoy all the delicious fare, the Lions’ Club 5K Stampede/Poke Along will be Friday night at Anderson Dean Park. Saturday has a wide range of events starting with a delicious, hearty Steak & Egg Breakfast. Teams will serve brisket and steak to the public. Come out and listen to talented musicians, visit with local vendors, browse through the antique cars, and bring the kids out for some FREE fun games and inflatables! For those looking to have a little more fun and support the Mercer County 4-H Program, a paintball range will be set up on Saturday. There is no charge to get into the festival, but a small charge for tasting and some games. Be sure to visit and like our Facebook page. We would love to have you join us as we celebrate Kentucky’s beef industry!
